The global market leader in live real estate auction streaming and bidding technology, Gavl (gavl.com), has been shortlisted in the prestigious Optus My Business Awards 2018.
Gavl is one of the most exciting proptech companies in the world. Since it was established in November 2016, Gavl has attracted 3.5 million views from across 52 countries of 10,000 Australian auctions it has livestreamed. It is the only available technology dedicated to the real estate industry that livestreams events with a one-second latency[1].
Gavl is in the running to take out one of Australia’s longest-standing business awards. It has been shortlisted as a finalist in the Start-up Business of the Year finalist category at the 2018 Optus My Business Awards, the premier event of the year for SMEs.
Gavl allows buyers to browse and shortlist property listings, watch livestreamed auctions, view auction results, and view and place bids from anywhere in the world. It also enables vendors and real estate agents to broaden their auction audience, to enable them to exhaust every opportunity in maximising buyer attendance and participation in auctions.
The Optus My Business Awards, which spans 28 categories, acknowledges best practice within a particular industry sector, as well as individual business leaders, excellence in customer service and achievements in innovation, corporate social responsibility and workplace culture. Winners from company-related categories will be shortlisted for the highly coveted Business of the Year Award.
Adam Zuchetti, editor of My Business, said it is another big year for Australia’s longest-running SME awards program, with a record number of submissions this 2018. “Small and medium-sized businesses are undeniably the backbone of our nation’s economy, as well as the heart of our local communities. It is wonderful to be able to recognise them on their achievements in service delivery, product innovation, workplace excellence and commitment to sustainability.
“Every year, both the number and the quality of submissions we receive for the Optus My Business Awards gets better, making it an ever-more impressive feat for those stand-out businesses who are named finalists. Our judges really have their work cut out for them in trying to select this year’s winners!”
Gavl CEO, Joel Smith, says: “Gavl is thrilled to be a finalist in the Optus My Business Awards’ start-up category. Since launching less than two years ago, we’ve had strong positive reception within the real estate industry and consumers, by developing a digital tool that makes auctions more accessible and convenient for home buyers, sellers and real estate agents. This award demonstrates the need for the industry to constantly evolve and find new ways to provide value to consumers.”
The winners of the Optus My Business Awards 2018 will be announced at a black-tie awards dinner on Friday, 9 November at The Star in Sydney.
